Book Review ~ My Heart and Other Black Holes by by Jasmine Warga

My Heart and Other Black HolesMy Heart and Other Black Holes by Jasmine Warga
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3.5 stars
I started reading it because of #BookTube. The "trigger warning" was oddly one of the reasons why I wanted to read it. It deals with the issue of Depression and Domestic Abuse (somewhat).
I don't feel it was very compelling to get me into Aysel's or Frozen Robot's skin. It seemed like a narration from outside of depression. The plot is compelling and Idea of depression is coherent. However, it takes out the nuance of depression, very monochromatic portray!
To me the trigger warning played out alright. However digression is advised for many.
It was a good YA novel to get an introduction to Mental Health issues.
